Fara Sonderling brings more than a decade of experience in government affairs, policy analysis, and strategic advocacy to Converge Public Strategies’ federal practice. As a trusted voice in Washington, Fara has built a distinguished career advancing complex policy initiatives and representing industry interests at the highest levels of government.
Prior to joining Converge as a Partner, Fara served as Manager of Government Affairs at the American Forest & Paper Association, where she led legislative strategies on key issues impacting the manufacturing and sustainability sectors. Previously, she was Manager of State Government Affairs at the National Community Pharmacists Association, where she developed and executed multi-state advocacy campaigns and worked closely with lawmakers and regulatory agencies nationwide.
Fara’s earlier experience includes roles as a Research Analyst at the American Legislative Exchange Council and a Research Fellow with the Rhode Island Senate Policy Office. She began her career with internships in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the American Legislative Exchange Council, cultivating a deep understanding of the legislative process and the policymaking landscape.
Fara holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Brown University and a Bachelor’s degree in Politics and History from Mount Holyoke College. Her strong policy credentials, deep legislative insight, and proven ability to navigate federal and state government make her a powerful advocate for Converge clients.
