Brad Nail is one of the most battle-tested and highly-respected policy and regulatory affairs professionals in the United States, having recently been involved in the passage of legislation enacting statewide regulatory schemes for Uber Technologies Inc.’s business in over 40 states. Brad served not just in an oversight role, but also as the principal advocate negotiating many of those efforts “on the ground” across the country.
Prior to his senior role with Uber, Brad worked in a senior role with Enterprise Holdings, Inc., the world’s largest car rental company. At Enterprise, Brad was responsible for the ground-up development of the insured claims subsidiary within Enterprise’s billion dollar insurance and self-insurance operation. After building this function for the company, Brad oversaw claims in regions throughout the U.S. and Canada.
In addition to legislative and regulatory activities, Brad has represented company interests before the following influential bodies:
- Republican Governor’s Association
- Democrat Governor’s Association
- National Governor’s Association
- National Conference of State Legislators
- National Council of Insurance Legislators
- National Association of Insurance Commissioners
- American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators
Brad is sought after as a speaker and panelist at events across the country, including seminars, conferences, legislative committees, and regulatory agency hearings. Most recently, he has spoken on topics as varied as rideshare regulations, autonomous vehicle research and regulations, insurance reform initiatives, the future of work, employment classification and independent contractor determinations, and the future of insurance in a connected world.
Away from work, Brad is frequently found on golf courses across America and enjoys following the fates of the Red Sox and all of the sports associated with his alma mater, Auburn University. A fan of trivia, Brad was a champion on the television show, Jeopardy!
