Partner, Government Relations
New York
Bruce Rudolph’s more than 40 years as a professional has taken him from the nonprofit sector to the highest levels of New York City government. He began his career working within the nonprofit world serving as an executive director for a New York-based nonprofit. Bruce saw firsthand the challenges these organizations face when it comes to securing government funding. He quickly became the go-to within the City of New York for nonprofit funding and served more than 20 years as Director of Discretionary Funds for the city. He was responsible for connecting countless nonprofit organizations with much needed funding to better serve communities.
His experience in both the nonprofit and government sectors makes him uniquely qualified to understand and meet funding needs for organizations. Bruce is an expert at navigating the often cumbersome and bureaucratic city funding process. His philosophy? Securing funding is just the first step, but knowing how to shepherd an organization through the implementation process is invaluable. This mission has guided Bruce over the past year as he opened and grew Converge Government Affairs New York where he works with clients from diverse sectors including health care and social services. And it worked. City & State New York named Converge New York one of the top 50 highest grossing lobby firms in the state. Bruce’s accomplishments are endless, but ask him what he is most proud of? His 5 children and 13 grandchildren.
