Mario Bailey maintains a significant presence in Florida’s state capitol and South Florida’s business, political and civic circles. With over a decade of experience in state and local politics, he has earned his reputation as a thoughtful leader and aggressive advocate with a relentless work ethic. He has represented city and county governments, universities, Florida’s two largest school districts and private and not-for-profit organizations.

Widely known for his prowess in the appropriations process, Mario has secured millions of dollars in funding for clients. Mario is equally adept at representing clients in regulatory matters, having worked on subjects ranging from finance and tax to parimutuel gaming. He is passionate in his representation of clients in important civic matters, playing a key role in the passage of historic legislation that placed a statue of educator and civil rights activists Dr. Mary Macleod Bethune in National Statuary Hall in Washington, D.C.

Prior to joining Converge, Mario worked for eight years as a senior legislative consultant in one of Florida’s most prominent law firms. He also served as a legislative aide to former state representative Dwight Bullard. Mario began his political career as a field coordinator on a congressional campaign in South Florida for former US Congressman Joe Garcia.
